Information We Collect
We collect two types of information:
Information You Provide
When you use the contact form, you give us your name, your email address and the contents of your message. That information is used only to read and answer your message. Do not send passwords, banking details or any other sensitive information through the form: we never need it.
Information Collected Automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting servers record standard log information when pages are loaded: your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you visited and the time of the visit. This information is used to keep the site running, to understand which guides are useful, and to protect the site against abuse and attacks.
Cookies
This site and the services it uses may place cookies on your device. Cookies are small text files that help a site remember preferences and understand how its pages are used. At the moment, cookies on this site are used only where they are needed to keep it working correctly and securely, and by the analytics services described below. We do not currently run advertising cookies. If we switch advertising on in future, this page will be updated before it starts.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking cookies does not stop you from reading or using any guide on this site.
Google AdSense
This site is prepared to show advertisements through Google AdSense. AdSense runs only once it has been approved and switched on; until then, no advertising cookies are set by this site. When AdSense runs, Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and to other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.
Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are read, how long they are read and roughly where visitors come from. Analytics reports are aggregated and are used to decide which guides to improve and which new guides to write. Google Analytics uses its own cookies, described in Google's privacy documentation.
Microsoft Clarity
This site also uses Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors move through its pages: where they click, how far they scroll and which parts of a page hold their attention. Clarity gives us heatmaps and session replays that help us fix confusing layouts and steps that do not work. Clarity sets its own cookies, the details are in Microsoft's privacy statement, and the text visitors type into forms is masked by Clarity rather than recorded.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Run, maintain and secure the website
- Read and answer messages sent through the contact form
- Check and correct file information that readers report
- Understand which guides are useful and improve them
- Measure traffic and advertising performance in aggregate, once those services are switched on
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Our hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs
- Google and Microsoft, through the analytics services described above, and Google through AdSense once that service is switched on
- A mirror or file host you choose to visit through a download link, under that service's own policy
- Authorities, only when the law requires it
Your Rights and Choices
You can ask us what personal information of yours we hold, and you can ask us to delete it. Messages sent through the contact form are answered and then kept only as long as they are useful for running the site. To make a request, use the Contact page and state clearly that it is a privacy request. We will act on it within a reasonable time.
You can also limit tracking directly: block cookies in your browser, opt out of personalised ads through the links above, and use your browser's private mode.
Children's Privacy
This site is a guide to a game mod aimed at adult players, and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, tell us and we will delete it.
Third-Party Links
Guides on this site link to third-party services, including the mirrors that host the game files. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information. Read the policy of any service you sign up for or download from.
Changes to This Policy
When this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
